Cherry Blossom Parasol-Repainted

 
  Hello everyone!

This is the parasol I ordered for my cherry blossom themed wedding. Initially, when it arrived, the colours didn't come out as nicely as they had appeared in the product picture online. The two birds were mostly a pee-yellow, and the berries plus the flowers were more of a red-orange-ish... pink. Hard to describe, but nevertheless, a far cry from cherry blossom pink.

At first I wasn't going to make an changes, but it didn't take long for me to cave... >_> I whipped out my acrylics and went to work!

The whole process took me around 4.5 hours, in one sitting, and as I have rarely ever painted, I'm sure a more experienced artist could have done it in much less time. XD Despite that, I am pretty pleased with the outcome considering my level of experience.

I will be uploading a couple of these shots as individuals, simply because I think they would look pretty.
